  • Air bag fault

    Hello
Can anyone help, is this black connector under the drivers seat used or is it superfluous,
have recently changed my fuel pump which involved moving the drivers seat fully forward, now my airbag light won’t go out, I have a tool to reset the airbag but am not sure if this connector is used, peering underneath the seat there seems to nowhere for it to go!
    Many thanks in advance

I thinks its for a seat occupancy sensor which isnt used on the drivers seat or the pre tensioner itself ?

Picture of mine which shows it taped up and looks unused ?

I would check the connector to the seat belt pre tensioner and undue and clean with some electrical contact spray and refit making sure the cable tie is tight and then try resetting the fault

Thanks for the reply, at least I can now discount that! My airbag reset tool is telling me the voltage is low, although 12.4v seems ok to me, however have disconnected the battery and put it on charge, so I see what it’s like in the morning!
