OK - I officially hate you now! ;-)

Just spent 2 hours dismantling the rear of my car to get to the changer connector. Made no difference - still no signs of life and unable to select CD from the headunit.

I think I can conclude that the interfaces work with the CD43, but not with the Phillips Business headunits.

I think the Business radio is mbus and the later cd player cd43 is ibus so these products may only work with ibus? the earlier cd player with the single lcd panel may also be mbus ?

hi all - fitted a dension lite bt into my 99 with single cd 43 / no auto changer . Also appeared to not be wired for an auto changer (which ive read they all are ?) - plugged the dension directly into head unit sockets / plug and the Bluetooth and hands free works fine. ( a little white noise (hiss) but its ok - I mostly want to listen to the growl of the in-line 6 :-)

but for the money its a simple solution.
