  • Front brake discs - where to get?

I've read lots of previous posts on here that suggest that the OEM floating front discs are the best way to go. Problem is, they seem to have gotten very expensive selling for £400-500!

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get them? Or decent aftermarket floating discs?

    Thanks!

Genuine discs are made by SHW and are the only ones to have the M logo on them.

Thanks all. I'll check dealer prices, and if not equivalent probably go ATE. The last set lasted over 10 years, but unfortunately are now quite pitted...

Dealers get good discount rates from BMW off discs so you may be able to get them sub £400. ATE appear to do two types one standard non floating and much more expensive two piece floating.

I would always stick with genuine especially on something like brakes.

Madness! £400 each for discs! I fitted the Schmeidmann floating ones last year, and they are fine, at £175 each.
